We’re open. And when we say that our supermarket of funds is open, we are referring both to our platform’s architecture and the transparency of our pricing. 9.95 euros, that’s all an investor pays …

... and this irrespectively of the amount invested in one of the more than 660 funds at more than 50 fund managers. Until recently, we still had two exceptions at two renowned fund houses that requested a different entry fee. But that has become, as they say, ancient history.

Now, we can hear you thinking: is these 9.95 euros the only income Keytrade Bank is getting when a fund investment has been made? The answer is no, there is a small portion of the fund’s yearly management fee that’s being paid to our bank. In our trade we call this inducements or retrocessions. Amongst other purposes, they allow us to keep our entry fee at this affordable level.

Maximum freedom

As you know, we do not give advice at Keytrade Bank. You can read this time and again below each of our blog posts (yes, also this time). We are in favor of giving you information, but it’s you who decides.

Our philosophy is one of openness, transparency and above all maximum freedom of choice out of a big offering. Contrary to some other banks, we display all fund managers in our online shop window. As we offer only funds made by third parties, total independence is guaranteed.

In other words, we feel that it is not our calling to send our client in a certain direction. We’d rather let them decide for theirselves where they invest their money. Whether somebody starts to trade, chooses for an investment plan, wants to have his or her portfolio managed or maybe just puts his or her money on a savings account, the door to our platform is always open. That counts for our online fund market too.
