Requesting and activating a card
How to request a bank card?
Just go to our transaction site in 'Banking' and select 'Cards' or choose 'Cards' in the app. Note: Only Belgian residents can get a debit card, whereas only Belgian residents and private individuals can get a credit card. Please note that a credit card request implies a credit decision, so it cannot be granted automatically.
When will I receive my card?
Once your card request has been accepted, you will receive a card within 10 working days.
For the PIN Log on using the Keytrade app or on keytradebank.be and under Cards, follow the instructions.
You will receive your first text message to which you must reply using the unique code shown on the Keytrade Bank platform. You will then get a second text message containing your PIN.
This text message will be automatically deleted after 24 hours, to guarantee the security of your account.
If you want, you can always choose to send the PIN by post.
How to activate the card?
- Log on using the Keytrade Bank app or on keytradebank.be
- Click on Cards
- Click on 'Activate your card'.
You can also activate your card by simply using it in a shop or at an ATM.
Can I receive a debit card as a non-Belgian resident?
Unfortunately, this is not possible. The debit card is only available to Belgian residents.
