Context
At Keytrade Bank, we are looking for someone responsible for enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the entire IT department. It serves as the strategic hub that translates the CIO's vision into actionable plans, ensures alignment across IT functions, and optimizes IT's contribution to the overall business.
Next to that we are currently finalizing the implementation of a third-party core banking system. This system and its provider will play a central role in the operations and future evolutions of Keytrade Bank’s IT platform. Responsibilities will include coordinating the transition and managing the run phase of this significant project.
Responsibilities
As Head of the CIO Office, you will second the CIO and receive people and domain responsibilities in the IT Management Team of the Bank, being exposed to the various aspects of the Bank’s technology practice: IT way of working, processes, risks, finance, and skills. You’re not afraid to coordinate and manage more and more. You want to be instrumental in the successful execution of the Bank’s IT transformation. You have the ambition to grow and develop quickly your core and soft skills in order to reach the next level.
Next to these responsibilities we are also looking for someone who can acts as the coordinator between the third-party core banking provider and the KTB teams for all matters related to the Core Banking System, covering both the RUN THE BANK and CHANGE THE BANK aspects of the relationship.
- Internal: You will take on the role of Core Banking Chapter Lead within Keytrade Bank’s IT organization. This chapter gathers internal core banking experts (business analysts, developers, testers, etc.), and the Service Manager will lead this community to facilitate knowledge sharing, discuss issues and evolutions, and develop best practices related to core banking.
- External: You will manage all aspects of the relationship with the core banking provider, including incident management, change requests, contracts, SLAs, DORA requirements, and reporting these to relevant governance bodies.
What kind of job do we offer?
- IT Transformation & transversal IT projects
- Following Keytrade Bank’s business roadmap and IT Strategy, define and coordinate the execution of the IT transformation initiatives at various levels: technology, sourcing, partnerships and way of working.
- Coordinate the execution of some key transversal IT projects like the Disaster and Recovery Test and the Test Refresh.
- IT Audit, IT Risks, Continuous Control
- Serve as the primary contact point for internal and external auditors and controllers, coordinating input from various IT teams.
- Coordinate and contribute to remediation of audit recommendations, ensuring necessary procedures and impact planning within teams.
- Collaborate with the Risk team and support execution of the IT Risks roadmap.
- IT Processes, Controls, and KPIs
- Ensure IT processes (Change Management, Asset Management, Skills Review, Backup and Restore, etc.) are well understood and properly executed by stakeholders.
- Oversee implementation of tools (CMDB), workflows (JIRA), user rights, and procedures; propose, collect, and implement improvements as JIRA Product Owner.
- Perform first-line controls on IT processes, report deficiencies, and coordinate remediation.
- Define and report on IT KPIs, coordinate improvements.
- IT Finance
- Perform the yearly IT budgeting exercise, liaise with financial control for quarterly budget status and updates.
- People Management & Development:
- In collaboration with IT management team and HR, champion initiatives to elevate the skills and capabilities of IT professionals across the organization, including identifying training needs, promoting career development paths, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Contribute to discussions on IT organizational structure and effectiveness, helping to optimize roles and responsibilities to meet strategic needs.
