23-26 January: upgrade of our IT system

Although Keytrade Bank is still relatively young, some of our ‘legacy’ IT systems need an upgrade. As a result, our transaction site and app will be inaccessible from 23 January at 22:00 until the end of the day on 25 January.

If all goes well, our bank will be fully open on 26 January at 9:00.

Which services will be impacted during the weekend?

  • Our app and transaction site will be down from Friday 23 January at 22:00, which means that you do not have access to your accounts.
  • Scheduled outgoing payments, standing orders and Sepa Direct Debits will not be processed during the weekend, but on Monday 26 January.
  • Incoming payments will still be registered, but will only be fully visible as from Monday 26 January.
  • Debit cards can be used, yet the linked current account's balance on Friday 23 January at 21:30 is the amount that can be spent over the weekend.
  • Credit cards can be used.
  • Buying online with your Keytrade Bank debit or credit card can only be signed with a Hardkey.
  • All of our links to third parties will be temporarily deactivated, which means amongst others that you will not be able to enrol for Apple Pay that weekend nor will you be able to add your Keytrade Bank debit card to Payconiq by Bancontact.
  • Payments via QR codes (such as Payconiq by Bancontact) or via Apple Pay remain possible.

What will change after this weekend?

  • Those who receive a message on their app will have to install the latest version of our app on 26 January.
  • You will have the possibility to do outgoing instant payments for free on our app and transaction site from 26 January onwards.
  • You will have two bank account statements for the month of January instead of one.:
    • one with your transactions leading up to the weekend
    • one with your transactions after the weekend.

Overall, the new IT platform will allow us to quicker adapt our product and service offering for daily banking. So stay tuned.
