Curious about procurement and ready to grow in a dynamic banking environment?
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Procurement Officer to join our expanding procurement team. In this permanent role, you’ll support the smooth running of procurement operations and work closely with the Head of Procurement and Procurement Specialist on a range of sourcing and administrative tasks.
If you're someone who enjoys being organized, learning new things, and working behind the scenes to keep processes running like clockwork, this role offers the perfect entry point to grow your skills in procurement.
Your Role in a Nutshell
- Be the go-to administrative support for the procurement team — managing documents, organizing meetings, maintaining records, and coordinating with stakeholders.
- Support the onboarding and tracking of external consultants, making sure contracts and timesheets are up to date and well-documented.
- Assist with RFP and tender processes — from preparing templates and scheduling meetings to compiling supplier responses and managing timelines.
- Maintain procurement data using Excel — help track contract end dates, create spend overviews, and prepare simple reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams (finance, legal, IT, etc.) to gather approvals and coordinate tasks that support procurement projects.
- Help ensure compliance with internal policies — tracking paperwork, approvals, and making sure documentation is properly stored and up to date.
- Play an active role in improving processes — whether it’s making templates more user-friendly or suggesting better ways to track information, your ideas will be valued.
Who You Are
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field is a plus. You bring at least 2 years of experience in a procurement, purchasing, or administrative role (experience in a corporate or banking setting is a bonus).
- Procurement Knowledge: You have a basic understanding of procurement or sourcing processes. Familiarity with RFPs or tender coordination is a strong asset.
- Tech Skills: You're comfortable using Excel (spreadsheets, formulas, tracking) and familiar with other MS Office tools like Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with procurement tools (SAP, Ariba, etc.) is a plus.
- Highly Organized: You’re detail-driven, able to juggle several tasks, and always follow through. Your structure helps the team stay on track.
- A Natural Collaborator: You communicate clearly, are helpful by nature, and enjoy supporting colleagues and coordinating across departments.
- Proactive & Flexible: You’re not afraid to ask questions, suggest improvements, and adapt to changing priorities in a growing team.
- Reliable: You handle information responsibly and maintain confidentiality in everything you do.
Languages
- You speak and write fluently in French or Dutch, with professional proficiency in the other.
- You have a good command of English, as internal communication often happens in English.
Why Join Us?
You’ll be part of a supportive and fast-evolving team where your ideas are welcome and your growth is encouraged. This is your chance to gain real experience in procurement within a stable, yet agile banking environment — with room to learn, contribute, and develop.
