Stocks
Stocks allow you to invest flexibly in a company
What is a stock?
A stock represents a unit of ownership of a company's capital. As a shareholder, you are entitled to information about the working of that company, to vote in the general assembly, and of course to a share of any profits made by the company.
Advantages and risks
A stock's performance is by definition uncertain. The stock price of a company can rise and you will then realise a capital gain by selling the stock; or it can fall, in which case you will lose money. Generally speaking, there is a link between performance and risk.
