Donating securities to a charity?

TopBlock-Charity

Keytrade Bank clients can always choose in a securities transfer not to transfer some of their positions, but instead donate them to charity. This might be because of their rather low value or because of the transfer fees involved.

Those securities are being put on the Charity Account. Afterwards, Keytrade Bank sells them and donates all of the proceeds to charities.

These donations are made on behalf of Keytrade Bank's clients.

The chosen charities for 2025

  • KickCancer

    Kick Cancer

KickCancer funds scientific research for developing new treatments for paediatric cancers. Children with cancer are still all too often receiving unsuitable or outdated therapies. KickCancer aims to drive forward innovative solutions in order to improve their chances of recovery and survival.

  • Why do we have this system?

Transferring small stock-market positions can entail fees that are higher than their value. Rather than allowing these amounts to go to waste, Keytrade Bank provides the option of converting them into a tangible contribution for causes that matter.

It’s a simple way of converting fractional assets into valuable support for community, health, environmental and social projects.

  • How are the charities selected?

We want to ensure that this process remains clear and inclusive:

    • A call for projects goes out to Keytrade Bank employees.
    • The management committee selects the charities based on established criteria (impact, transparency and suitability).
    • The selected charities are among the foundations recognised by the King Baudouin Foundation (Fondation Roi Baudouin), ensuring credibility and transparency.
    • This process applies both to donations from the Charity Account and to Keytrade Bank’s own donations.
