Short selling has been prohibited until 16 April 2020

Several Financial Supervisory Authorities (Belgium, France, Italy and Spain) have prohibited short selling on their home markets. This means that every transaction whereby the trader is being rewarded in case of a downward movement of the underlying asset will be forbidden until 16 April 2020.

The instruments concerned are:

  • • Options (long put and short call)
  • • Put Turbos and Sprinters
  • • Put warrants
  • • Puts on structured products such as Factor certificates, Boosters

with, as underlying asset, shares or indexes that list in:

  • • Belgium (a.o. Bel20)
  • • France (a.o. CAC40)
  • • Italy
  • • Spain

Keytrade Bank will block buying (not selling) one of these instruments.
