Digital banking boosted by the corona crisis

Published on:

Eight in ten Belgians would prefer to organise their banking issues digitally as a result of the coronavirus. Slowly but surely, a digital, customer-oriented and accessible banking model - the Keytrade philosophy - is becoming the norm. Do you want to take control of your finances too?

Digital banking boosted by the corona crisis. As more and more Belgians discover the advantages of digital services due to the corona crisis and social distancing measures, there is also growing interest in banking models that deliberately opt for a 100% digital approach.

In a survey we recently conducted among 1,000 Belgians, more than eight out of ten respondents indicated that, since the start of the corona crisis, their preference had been to manage their banking affairs digitally.

The interest in independent digital banking is growing rapidly. Never before have so many Belgians found their way to Keytrade Bank in one year.

Not just for millennials

The evolution towards digital banking is nothing new, of course. The traditional banks are also, albeit slowly, shifting to our model. But it is clear that independent and digital banking has never been as widely supported in society as it is today.

Anyone who still thinks that digitalisation is only for the millennials is wrong. Nothing could be further from the truth. Our survey showed that young people, adults and people over 55 are all equally positive about digital banking.

Accessible financial packages, tailored to the client, with robust conditions and embedded within a comprehensive digital model is the essence of what we offer. Anyone who finds this an appealing prospect, has come to the right address with Keytrade Bank.

Bank of the future?

We believe that our approach will form the basis for the bank of the future.

Belgians are ready to take control of their finances. Since the start of this year, our customers have carried out twice as many transactions as in 2019. Belgians are starting to invest more actively, and if you ask us, our KEYPLAN and KEYPRIVATE are part of the explanation for this newfound interest in the stock market. We also continue to innovate and our new collaboration with Immoweb is the perfect example.

It is, in any case, extremely encouraging to see that Belgians are ready to monitor and control their banking affairs independently and digitally. Do you want to take control of your finances too? Then let Keytrade Bank be your reliable partner. Find out more about our financial services on our website.

*Our survey was conducted in September by research agency iVOX among a representative sample of 1,000 Belgians.
