Data & AI Governance Architect

Purpose 

As a Data & AI Governance Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing the governance framework for data and artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives within our organization. 


This role involves ensuring the responsible and ethical use of data and AI, developing robust data and AI architectures, and modeling data in a way that supports our strategic objectives. 


Additionally, you will be responsible for fostering strong collaborative relationships both within the organization and with external partners to drive successful data and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities 


1.Data & AI Governance (35%)

  • Accountable for our governance framework for data and AI in order to ensure ethical, transparent, compliant use of data and maximizing value creation with data and AI.
  • Establish policies and standards for data & AI quality, privacy, security, and usage.
  • Monitor and report the compliance of data and AI initiatives with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Be in charge of the organization and preparation of the data governance board
  • Collaborate with data owners, data stewards and data custodians to deliver the objectives of our data & AI governance.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and business teams to address governance-related issues.


2.Data & AI Architecture (15%)

  • Design and implement scalable and robust architectures for data management and AI deployment.
  • Ensure documentation in Power Designer, Meta-Analysis , confluence & Jira
  • Ensure that the data and AI architecture aligns with business needs and technical requirements.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and platforms to enhance data and AI capabilities together with the data & AI tech lead.


3.Data & AI Modeling (35%)

  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support AI and analytics initiatives.
  • Accountable for the creation of certified data sets which can be used for enterprise reporting, machine learning, self-service analytics and AI products. 
  • Quality control on our certified data sets 
  • Optimize data models for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and data analysts to understand their data requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.


4. Collaboration & Relationship Management (15%)

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including IT, business units, and executive leadership, to understand and support their data and AI needs.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to ensure seamless integration and alignment of data and AI initiatives.
  • Engage with external partners, vendors, and industry groups to stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in data and AI governance.

Competencies 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data architecture, or a related area.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance practices, data modeling, and AI technologies.
  • Experience with data management tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, NoSQL databases, Hadoop, Spark).
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning frameworks and platforms.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

Education 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
