Investment committee: portfolio management
with in-depth expert analysis
The investment committee consists of experts from the financial sector with an in-depth knowledge of risk management and financial management. The committee monitors the returns of the portfolios and associated risks, they meet every month, or more frequently, depending on current events.
Guided by studies produced by world players such as BlackRock and Amundi, the committee members analyze the global economic situation and based on this input, they assess the consequences for the 8 trackers. Subsequently, they evaluate the investments of the different portfolios and make adjustments, if need be.
The committee publishes a monthly report, which as a KEYPRIVATE customer you have access to.
Tasks
- Monitor the global market situation and evolution
- Review the asset classes of every risk profile
- Monitor the returns of the investments
- Monitor and possibly adjust the input for the portfolio optimizer (Gambit)
- Make decisions about the rebalancing of portfolios
- Make decisions about the tracker universe
The members
5 experts in portfolio management are responsible for achieving a maximum return. There are 5 experts on the investment committee: two from Keytrade Bank, one from Federal Finance, one from European Capital Partners and one independent expert.
Gorik Nelissen

Extensive knowledge of financial products, 15 years experience and specialist in trackers
Gert De Mesure
Independent financial expert
25 years active in the financial markets at some of the big institutions and currently valued independent expert. He combines the experience of financial analyst and experience in the field.
Léon Kirch
Chief Investment Officer at European Capital Partners
20 years of experience in portfolio management, including 15 years in « Value investing ». Co-manager of the fund "Nordea European Value" between 2002 and July 2014. Partner and Chief Investments Officer at European Capital Partners (Luxembourg) since 2014, he is managing the fund ECP Flagship European Value since early 2015.
Loïc L’Hermitte
Responsible for discretionary managed portfolios at Federal Finance
30 years of experience in asset management, including 14 spent as Head of Discretionary Management at Federal Finance Gestion - precursor of Asset Management under Mandate in France for life insurance online with “Fortuneo-Vie” (since 2005).
Geert Van Herck
Chairman of the investment committee
He began his career as a financial analyst for AXA Bank Europe before moving to the investment magazine De Belegger. Then he worked for Leleux Associated Brokers, where he was a member of the strategic investments committee. In 2015, he joined Keytrade Bank as a chief strategist.
