How do I transfer securities to Keytrade Bank?

You can instruct your current bank to transfer the securities. Or you can give Keytrade Bank a mandate.

What will happen next?

We will start the securities transfer for you as soon as we receive the signed form. We will contact the back office of your current bank. Depending on the securities to be transferred and the response speed of your current bank or broker, the transfer may take a few (2 to 4) weeks.

If you do not yet have an account with Keytrade Bank, no problem. We will start the transfer as soon as your account numbers at Keytrade Bank are known.

You instruct your current bank

Instruct your bank to transfer your securities to Keytrade Bank. Your bank will contact Keytrade Bank to complete the transfer. You can, of course, e-mail an overview of the securities to be transferred to Keytrade Bank (stock.transfers@keytradebank.com). This makes it easy for us to check whether your transfer is complete.

Send us proof of the transfer charges.

To qualify for a refund of the transfer charges, you must submit the Securities Transfer - Proof of Charges form within 6 months of the securities transfer's start date. Please include proof of the incurred transfer charges (e.g. a copy of the account statements). Only transfers meeting the terms and conditions are eligible for a refund.

Can I transfer all securities to Keytrade Bank?

If a security is not online traded, please contact our commercial service in advance by phone on +32 2 679 90 00 or by e-mail at info@keytradebank.com. They will quickly tell you what is possible.

Securities listed on OTC BB are not accepted.

What are the terms and conditions for a refund of the transfer charges?

Keytrade Bank does not apply transfer charges for receiving your securities. Your other bank may apply charges, though. You can find these transfer charges on the website of your other bank. The transfer charges can be refunded for security transfers to Keytrade Bank. The following terms and conditions determine whether the transfer charges will be refunded:

• Send us a summary of the incurred transfer charges by post or by e-mail within 6 months of the start of the securities transfer to your Keytrade Bank account. Please use the Securities transfer - Proof of Charges document and add a copy of the account statements with transfer charges.
• Transfer charges can be refunded if:
  • you can buy the security online on the Keytrade Bank website and
  • the value of the transferred line is at least EUR 500 (or the equivalent of EUR 500 if the security is quoted in a different currency). The charges for transferring securities that cannot be bought online with Keytrade Bank (securities that can only be sold online or that are traded by telephone, for example) or for which the value of the transferred line is lower than EUR 500 (or the equivalent in a different currency) are not eligible for refund. If you want to know in advance which securities in your portfolio are eligible for a transfer charge refund, Contact our commercial service by phone on +32 2 679 90 00 or by e-mail at info@keytradebank.com.
• The maximum refund for transfer charges is EUR 2,500 per calendar year per legal place of residence. The refund is paid into your Keytrade Bank trading account. If you perform several transfers within 12 months, the EUR 2,500 maximum applies to all transfers together.

When will the refund of the transfer charges appear in my account?

You can use the Securities Transfer - Proof of Charges form to request a refund of the transfer charges you incurred within 6 months of the securities transfer's start date.

What will happen next?

• As soon as we receive the signed document and its attachments, we will start to process your request.
• Transfer charges that meet the terms and conditions will be refunded into your trading account within 15 business days.

Only transfers meeting the terms and conditions are eligible for a refund. The Securities Transfer - Mandate and Securities Transfer - Proof of Charges forms include the terms and conditions for a refund.

Transferring your securities to another Keytrade Bank account is quick and easy:

What will happen next?

• We will start the securities transfer for you as soon as we receive the signed form.
• Ensure in advance that the balance of your trading account is sufficient to cover the transfer charges. The charges for a securities transfer within Keytrade Bank are EUR15 excl. VAT (EUR18.15 incl. VAT) per line. If the balance of your trading account is insufficient, we are unable to start the transfer. Ensure the balance of your trading account is sufficient to avoid any processing problems. • Bear in mind that your transfer may take up to 1 week.
